Broadcast Closed Captioning Rules for California Certification

There is no licensure requirement for broadcast closed captioners or CART Providers in California or any other state.  Individual national captioning companies may or may not request the captioning prospect have an RPR certification from the NCRA, and the national captioning company will administer their own skills test to qualify the applicant.
